can you safely put a power rack in an apartment

Power racks are great for taking kettlebells, dumbbells, and other weight training equipment from the floor back up to your apartment. This is a great space saver. I have a small home-office and often take up that amount of space. When I need to workout I can simply take the weights from the floor back up to my apartment and do my work. Here are some reasons why.

First, if you drop your weights from the roof or floor it can be hard to catch them and get them back on the ground. It can be even harder to get them back on the ground if you have to try to work them up from the bottom of the stack. The problem with dropping stacks of weights off the roof or the floor is you are likely to break something. Whether it's tiles drywall, or a wooden support, you are going to have to replace something. With a power rack you don't have to worry about that so you can be more efficient.

can you safely put a power rack in an apartment, if you go heavy with your deadlines, you can end up wasting space because you can't put all your weights on the floor. You can't take all your deadlifts to the roof or the floor. With a power rack you can put everything on the ground or the floor. You can still have a live load limit but it is easier to keep track of which stack you are lifting than if you had to figure that out without the power rack.

Third, it can be hard to determine the correct weight limit for the weights you want to lift with a power rack. For example I have a stack of dumbbells that are loaded to my limit. However I only have a half load limit. Because the weights are so close to the wall, it is easy to over lift and I can wind up with an injury. This is much safer with a full power rack.

Fourth, if you have a small home gym and you have racks for free weights and for stacking weights, your rack is not going to last very long. Power racks are constructed of better quality materials that will outlast just about anything else you can find in your home gym. They are also designed to accommodate more weight as well as more use. This means that they will not wear out or get scratched easily like many pieces of plastic. This also means that you can increase the amount of weight that your power rack holds because you are not replacing the weights as often as you would with a regular home gym piece.

So can you safely put a power rack in an apartment? Yes, you can! For around $400 you can get a modular rack that has many different adjustable workouts that can be done on a regular basis. Not only can you fit all your free weight workouts on this piece of equipment, but you can do pull ups, bench presses, lat pull downs, squats, chin ups, clean and jerks, and more. This type of rack can hold up to a few hundred pounds of free weights, so you will never have to worry about it getting moved or broken because of the weight.
